Thursday, March 03, 2011:

Gerald made McMuffins this morning for everyone.  The boys are going to play golf tomorrow so this morning we are going to head to the driving range so they can get some practice in.  While they are doing that…Evonne and I are going to hit the casino!

After that; who knows?

We decided we would go to Divi to let the guys hit some balls at the driving range there and Evonne and I were going to go to the casino and wait for them.  They didn’t open till noon…so we decided to drive along the north road to the east at Udall Point and look at the scenery.

Took some pictures at Udall Point, saw the telescope again then headed to Divi and the casino.

 (Castle on the hill!)

The boys dropped off us girls off at the casino, we went in and just sat at the bar and played the slots there.  Evonne played poker and I played video slots. The drinks were free if we were gambling…so we didn’t spend any money for that, but we did tip the bartender (Julian) pretty good. He gave us food and was really fun!  Then shortly after we got settled in with our drinks and games, the boys came in!  Apparently the driving range was closed, there were no signs of when they opened or closed…so they came back to the casino, and we all gambled for a little while.  I walked away with $125! YAY!  (Evonne is my lucky charm!)

We came back home, stopping by the store first, then changed into our suits and went to the pool.  It was hot by the pool, but the water was COLD! (…felt good on the foot though!)  Evonne and Gerald walked the beach and John and I stayed by the pool.

After a couple of hours, we came back up to the condo, cleaned up a little and went next door to Smuggler’s Cove for Pizza and Trivia Night.

Gerald and Evonne checking on the status of our pizzas!
John & Evonne! Putting heads together for trivia!

Suffice it to say we didn’t win, but we did learn that Ohio does not border Tennessee, bread contains plaster of paris, Message in a Bottle was not sung by Jim Croce, litmus paper turns pink (not green) in acid, Sanford is Red Foxx’s real last name, Lincoln was the first president on a coin, Mr. Ed called Wilbur “Buddy Boy” (not Wilbur), and there are 167 active volcanoes in Indonesia (aka the Ring of Fire), among other useless information.  We did have fun though!

We’re trying to figure out what we want to do next.  The boys are playing golf tomorrow morning and Evonne and I are planning to do some shopping in Christiansted! (oh yeah!) We are definitely planning to go to the Rum Distillery and Whim Estate, plus Evonne has to see the beer swilling pigs when we go through the rain forest, so we have to stop by and get a few beers (non alcoholic of course) and snap some pictures!
